So the upsets continue, but more than that it appears that Yan An has broken through. After an impressive Super League season , he continues to take down the top, first Wang Hao his team mate from Bayi ,four straight, and then Xu Xin four to three!
He will meet world champ Zhang "the incredible shirt ripping" Jike in the semis.
The other semi will be between Ma Long who continues to look very strong and Jun Mizutani, who managed to get the edge on Ovtcharov who ended the dream run of Liventsov.
So can Yan An go all the way? Will the new world champ Zhang stamp his dominance where it counts or will Ma Long prove that he is not ready to give up a spot on the team any time soon or will Mizutani continue the trend of upsets and win it all?
